Sigh - Looks like 'The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen' could end up as a TV show, on FOX

Oh boy HWR just reported that The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen is going to be attempted as a TV series on Fox.
I guess with every other channel doing Victorian Sci-Fi/Horror (showtime: Penny Dreadful and nbc: Dracula to name a few) Fox felt it had to try as well, but also has to drag an amazing comic through what I am sure will be a not faithful or good adaptation. Odd, who owns the rights to this? I guess Fox still has them from that terrible movie version.
Anyway, I was and still am kinda looking forward to Penny Dreadful. I certainly don't feel you can do these stories justice on broadcast TV (both when it comes to budget and content) but maybe showtime can make something decent. We'll have to wait and see.
