The Walt Disney Co. has acquired control of the "Star Wars" and "Indiana Jones" franchises through a $4.05 billion acquisition of George Lucas' Lucasfilm. Immediate plans call for the studio to release "Star Wars: Episode VII" in 2015, with two additional sequels to follow.
